Associate Consultant

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Associate Consultant is a research-intensive, high-learning role for post-graduates who are ready to take on substantial consulting responsibilities under expert guidance. You will be embedded within one or more of Florida’s six verticals – Green Futures, Business Capital Advisory, Infrastructure Horizons, MSME Catalyst, AI & DigiTech, and Public Policy & Reforms contributing meaningfully to client deliverables, analytical frameworks, and project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead specific research workstreams including primary research, literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, and data analysis
  • Develop well-structured analytical outputs — reports, sector notes, policy briefs, feasibility assessments, and presentations
  • Support Senior Consultants and Managers in managing project deliverables, timelines, and client communications
  • Assist in client interactions including preparation of materials, attending meetings, and documenting proceedings
  • Contribute to proposal development, RFP responses, and business development activities
  • Participate in field missions, focus group discussions, and on-ground implementation activities
  • Support development of Florida’s knowledge base, frameworks, and sector intelligence
  • Comply with Florida’s quality standards, IP protocols, and delivery timelines

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1–3 years of experience in consulting, research, policy, development sector, or related fields
  • Strong research and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into clear outputs
  • Excellent written communication skills — ability to draft crisp, professional documents independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; exposure to data tools (Excel modelling, SPSS, Power BI, or similar) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Exposure to at least one of Florida’s focus domains: sustainability, MSME, infrastructure, policy, investment, or digital transformation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
  • Intellectual curiosity, professional integrity, and a passion for impact-driven work
